Unicard were among the guests at an event to celebrate businesses that have raised money for the charity Diverse Abilities.

The Dorset-based organisation is the chosen charity for fundraising by Unicard’s Poole office. We raised £5,000 for them in 2025 as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Value plans.

Diverse Abilities has supported children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities across the county since 1955. Its work includes running a school for young children and teenagers who have disabilities and complex medical needs. It also provides adult services ranging from 24/7 supported living to physio.

The celebration was held at the charity’s Treehouse venue in Hurn, Dorset - a site they acquired in 2024 and which now hosts events and short breaks for children with disabilities and their families.

During the celebration, Diverse Abilities unveiled leaf-shaped plaques on the exterior of the Treehouse, with each leaf featuring the name of a company that has supported them.

The charity said: “With your valued support we have continued to grow our work to reach new people, but also to continue helping the extraordinary people that we have known for years.”
