Smart cards, in all their forms, become more and more part of our daily life, as a key delivery tool for various applications, like electronic identification, payment, transport ticketing, access to library-leisure centres, e-government access etc... But the public needs to see a benefit in this new technology, which should simplify their access to services and not just be, at least, a clear challenge for space in the wallet!
